A 5th grade opportunity where students are paired with a High School mentor to design and carry out a science experiment. They meet monthly after-school to work on their project. Each meeting has a fun theme, such as, pizza party or holiday cookie exchange. This program is great in helping to prepare students for middle school, as there is a strong focus on the Scientific Method process. Mandatory parent meeting required in October. Program runs from November-April. For more information, contact Robin Groch. Open to all 5th grade students.

Lingo Lounge (5th Grade)
A monthly lunch-time poetry club for 5th grade students. Our goal for this club is to inspire young students to explore the world of words through the creation of original poetry. We teach different forms of poetry at the meetings for students to practice and freely write. In addition to the lunch club, we offer an optional "Open-Word Poetry" evening event for students (if they feel comfortable) will use a microphone and share the poem that he/she wrote with the audience. We generally have 3 night events, located at a local Starbucks. Open to all 5th grade students.
