Information went home last Friday in student folders. While no driver's nor permission slips are required, this experience is NOT POSSIBLE without your donations. The Walk Through California is $15 per student. If you would like to come observe, you may do so for any portion of the event. Please review flyer for details. If you are able to be a scorekeeper, please email me! Thank you!

Kindness Writing Contest

update 2/27 Way to go Misha and Harris! Their essays were read at flag salute:)


The class all worked on this in class on January 28. Their work may be accessed from home in Google Classroom. Participation in the contest is optional, and students are responsible for their own submissions. 


Kindness Rocks!

The writing contest poses the question, “You made a special rock with a kind message. How do you think your rock will make someone feel? Why is that important?” Please emphasize personal experiences or meaning for you.

2. Please limit your response to 150 words or less.

3. TK and Kindergarten students are encouraged to draw or write a few words about their rock.

4. Submissions are due Monday, February 11, by the start of school and can be turned into the main office.

5. Winners will be selected by 5th graders; 5th grade submissions will be reviewed by PTA representatives.

6. Winners will have the opportunity to read their writing during Flag Salute on February 13 or have Mrs. Murphy read their selection. Selections chosen will also be shared with the parent community.

7. Please contact PTA Inclusion and Diversity Co-Chair, Krista Glaser at with any questions.
